Free Workshop -Mindfulness and Reflection: Pathway to calm, clarity and productivity
Dr. Ron Passfield PhD is conducting a series of free workshops on mindfulness and reflection for ALARA members and the general community. The workshops will be conducted in the free seminar rooms provided in Brisbane City Council libraries for not-for-profit organisations.
Recent research, including neuroscience findings, has confirmed the benefits of mindfulness and reflective practice. These include:
- Reduced stress and calmness
- Improved attention
- Wellbeing and happiness
The workshops are interactive, practical and reflective; and explore multiple ways to develop mindfulness. They will highlight the role of mindfulness in building reflective practice and the capacity to reflect-in-action. Mindfulness practice may be supported by a buddy system or self-developed action learning sets.
The workshops will be conducted in various locations in Brisbane and the dates, times and locations will be advertised via local information outlets.
The workshops are sponsored by the ALARA Association.
NOTE: Ron is in the process of developing meditation podcasts that will be available via this site and offered initially as live, 30-minute webinars via a web conferencing facility. These will replace the free mindfulness workshops.
